In my opinion, the best Ranma 1/2 fanfiction...

It was the first fanfic I found and read. It was because of it that I decided to read many others... however, the problem was that it wasn't finished yet. That problem was solved on June 20. I've found myself in the position of having to download manga... In this country, I have never found a place to buy it, and importing stuff turns out to be even 4 times more expensive than the original price. (And that's when you find a provider that'll supply what you want). Therefore, for those in my position I post this old manga which I love. It's a single file link to megaupload that weights about 650MB, but includes all manga volumes in English.

Me he visto en la posición de tener que descargar manga... en mi país nunca he encontrado un lugar donde se pueda comprar e importarlo (cuando encuentro algún proveedor que me lo pueda enviar) resulta hasta 4 veces más caro que su precio original. The Legend of Prince Valiant - La Leyenda del Príncipe Valiente

Many years ago, when I was about 11 or 12, I would watch this TV animated series and I would imagine what other adventures these heroes would get involved in... Valiant, Arn and Rowanne had so much potential that when I saw the end I thought maybe they just didn’t play the real ending in my country.

By the time I watch it again this year, I remembered that Valiant had lost his kingdom and in spite of being a prince, wanted and achieved knighthood, I remembered very little or Arn’s issues and fears, I did remembered that he was in love with Rowanne who in turn (according to my memories) had turned him down because of her one-sided love for Valiant. About Rowanne, I also remembered her dream of becoming the first female knight of the round table, and how at one point she felt frustrated because she wasn’t treated as one of the guys.

Rowanne and Arn, now, this is the couple I wanted to end up together... even after all these years I wish the writers would have done something about this... I mean, when I watched it again just some weeks ago, and I noticed that Valiant actually did show some interest in her, I thought, well, it wasn’t so one-sided after all, but then Aleta came along (where from and to do what) then I thought, well now it’s Arn’s turn, but the writers killed that too.

Great story, though I would have loved it to continue... more for the romantic elements than for the fights, you have to understand I was a little girl who followed heroines (more than heroes) and who always wanted them to end up with one of the good guys... I even imagined an adventure that would make them (Rowanne and Arn) a couple... and I remembered it!!! Maybe some day I’ll even write it and join it to my anime fanfictios that I’ll publish... :)

Anyway, if you have no idea of what it is I’m talking about, watch it... I loved it! (as you can plainly see)... There is a comic strip and two movies, but the plot is somewhat different, I haven’t watched them...

And yes, I know how crazy this hole post sounds, specially coming from someone in her late twenties... but don’t worry, I can be funny, and I can be serious too. (When necessary...)

Hace muchos años, cuando yo tenía once o doce años, solía ver esta caricatura y me imaginaba qué otras aventuras estos héroes podrían tener. Valiente, Arn y Rowanne tenían tanto potencial que cuando vi el último episodio, pensé que en mi país simplemente no habían terminado de transmitir la serie.

Para cuándo la vi nuevamente este año, recordaba que Valiente había perdido su reino y a pesar de ser un príncipe había deseado y alcanzado el título de caballero, recordaba muy poco de la personalidad de Arn y de sus complejos, lo que sí recordaba es su amor por Rowanne quien (según yo recordaba) lo rechaza debido a su amor no correspondido por Valiente. Acerca de Rowanne, también recordaba que tenía el sueño de ser la primer caballero femenina en la mesa redonda, y que en algún momento se sintió frustrada por no ser tratada igual que los hombres.

Rowanne y Arne, esa es la pareja que yo quería ver terminar juntos... inclusive después de todos estos años me gustaría que los escritores hubieran hecho algo al respecto... digo, cuando lo volví a ver hacer unas semanas, noté que en realidad Valiente sí mostró interes en ella y pensé, buen, parece que sí era correspondido, pero luego apareció Aleta (de dónde y para qué) entonces pensé, bueno, ahora es el turno de Arn pero los escritores tampoco siguieron ese rumbo.

Es una historia genial, aunque me hubiera encantado que continuara... más por los factores románticos que por las peleas... tienen que entender que yo era una pequeña que prefería heroínas y me gustaba que se quedaran con alguno de los chicos buenos... inclusive imaginé una aventura en la que al final ellos (Rowanne y Arn) se quedan juntos... ¡y aún la recuerdo! Quizás algún día la escriba y la una los fanfic de anime que publicaré... :)

En fin, si no tienen idea lo que estoy hablando, véanla... a mi me encanto (como se nota claramente) Hay una tira cómica y dos películas pero la trama es un poco distinta, por eso nunca las he visto...

Y sí, yo sé como suena todo esto, especialmente viniendo de una persona de veintitantos años de edad... pero no se preocupen, no sólo puedo chistocita sino también seria (cuando se necesita)

Mi primer post - My first post

Desde hace mucho he estado interesada en publicar mis propias ideas en un espacio personal... por algún motivo extraño, no lo había hecho, y, por otro motivo también extraño, decidí hacerlo hoy.

No tengo definido un tema para el blog, por lo que lo llamo "Un poco de todo". El título está en inglés y en español porque son los idiomas que mejor domino (no es que domine muchos pero...). Desde hace tiempo decidí que al hacer el blog, lo haría en ambos idiomas para llegar a más personas. Pensaba hacerlo en columnas paralelas pero no encontré cómo (se agradece ayuda al respecto). Invariablemente, el primer idioma será en el que me inspiro y posteriormente la traducción.

Tengo el presentimiento que en este blog encontrarán comentarios de animes y cartoons ya viejitos (porque me siguen gustando) y de programas de televisión y películas tanto viejitos como actuales. También creo que comentaré de libros y noticias interesantes que lea.

Soy un poco escritora también, así que probablemente use este medio para publicar mis poemas e historias (incluso quizás unos fanfic que nunca me atreví a que alguien más leyera)

En fin este mundo promete mucho... y yo aún no he planeado todo lo que haré, pero sí sé que ya que empecé, seguiré.


For a while now, I've been interested in publishing my own ideas in a personal space... but for a strange reason I hadn't, and, for another also-strange reason, I decided to do it today.

I don't have a specific topic for the blog, which is why I called it "A bit of everything". The title is in English and Spanish because those are the languages I handle myself better in (not that I speak many others, but...) Some time ago, I decided that when I made the blog, I would do so in both languages to reach more people. I had thought to do it in columns, but I didn't find out how (help on that will be appreciated) Invariably, the first language you read will be the one I got inspired in so that you can later read the translation.

I suspect that in this blog you'll find comments old anime and cartoons (because I still like them) and about TV shows and movies both old and new. I also think I'll comment on books and news I read.

I'm a bit of a writer too, so perhaps I'll use this means to publish my poems and stories (maybe even some old fanfiction stories I haven't dared give anyone to read)

Any how, this world promises a lot, and I am yet to plan all the things I'll do in it, all I know is, I started, and I'll carry on.
